hi there! my name is Jess. in my 21 years of life, i've experienced a lot of food from around the world -- from traveling to the sandy dunes of Egypt to the heights of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, i've learned the process, the complexity, and the art that comes in making food. 

in growing up in an Arab household, however, I was surrounded by foods of flavor, that were seemingly healthy to the eye, but unhealthy in reality. at the end of my college career, around the summer of my senior year, I took an interest in healthy eating, based particularly on vegetarianism. this is my story – my journey, if you will, on how to become a plant-based eater (and how to stick to it).
